1-الاهداف العامة للبرنامج
The program aims to:
1.      Graduate competent professional nurse who is able to provide systematic, comprehensive care for adult patient in health and disease.
2.      Demonstrates awareness of ongoing health problems and recent theories in Medical Surgical Nursing.
3.      Use the appropriate technological methods that serve the professional practices.
4.      Collaborate effectively with multi discipline team to provide quality care to adult patient.
5.      Contribute to the professional self development and others to enhance nursing care of adult patient.
 
Overall aims of course
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
Utilize the nursing process in formulating and evaluating adult individualized plans of care for clients experiencing the functional health different body systems alteration e.g. pain, , infection, fracture

1-     الحصول على موافقة مجلس القسم المختص.
2-     استكمال جميع المستندات المطلوبه من ادارة الدراسات العلي بالكليه.
3-     ان يتم سداد الرسوم الدراسيه قبل بدء الدراسه ويستثنى من هذا الشرط المعيدون والمدرسون المساعدين وطلاب المنح الدراسيه.
 
 
7-القواعد المنظمة لاستكمال البرنامج:
-1- ان يكون حاصلا على درجة البكالريوس فى علوم التمريض بتقدير عام على الاقل جيد ومادة التخصص جيد جدا من إحدى جامعات جمهورية مصر العربيه او على درجه معادله من جامعه اخرى معترف بهامن المجلس الاعلى للجامعات,للدراسات العليا .
-2- ان يكون الطالب قد زاول مهنة التمريض لمده لا تقل عن سنتين بعد السنه التدريبيه (الامتياز) فى مستشفى جامعى او تعليمى ,او يكون قد عين معيد بالجامعه لمدة عام على الاقل بعد السنه التدريبيه.

2. هدف المقرر
This course provides master students with knowledge, skills, and attitude required to care for adult patient with various Medical Surgical health problems affecting the different body systems; through utilization of the nursing process. The course reflects innovative and flexible teaching and learning strategies, focusing on clinical role, advancement that enhances the quality of patient care, develop research expertise by utilizing critical thinking and evidence based practice.

1)         To list and outline the causes and basic mechanisms of disease.
2)         To identify and explain organ based alterations in structure and function associated with disease.
3)       To develop skills of observation, interpretation and integration needed to analyze human 
disease.
4)      To point out the most likely diagnosis and differential diagnosis when provided with the anatomical lesions, and the laboratory data of a patient.

Overall aims of course
5)         To list and outline the causes and basic mechanisms of disease.
6)         To identify and explain organ based alterations in structure and function associated with disease.
7)       To develop skills of observation, interpretation and integration needed to analyze human 
disease.
8)      To point out the most likely diagnosis and differential diagnosis when provided with the anatomical lesions, and the laboratory data of a patient.

A1- Explain the general components of blood and its functions, mechanism of blood coagulation and regulation of blood volume and understand some of clinical conditions occurring due to deficiency of one or more of the blood components.
A2- Describe the functional structure of the respiratory system,, respiratory cycle, its mechanism, regulation of normal respiration , respiratory functions of the blood and some conditions related to disorders of the respiratory system.
A3- Mention the properties of the cardiac muscle and factors affecting them and the

-2- ان يكون الطالب قد زاول مهنة التمريض لمده لا تقل عن سنتين بعد السنه التدريبيه (الامتياز) فى مستشفى جامعى او تعليمى ,او يكون قد عين معيد بالجامعه لمدة عام على الاقل بعد السنه التدريبيه.

This course aims to develop competencies of the candidate in the fields of general & specific functions of cell, cardiovascular system, blood, respiratory system, nerve and muscle, autonomic nervous system and metabolism.

-1- ان يكون حاصلا على درجة البكالريوس فى علوم التمريض بتقدير عام على الاقل جيد ومادة التخصص جيد جدا من إحدى جامعات جمهورية مصر العربيه او على درجه معادله من جامعه اخرى معترف بها من المجلس الاعلى للجامعات, للدراسات العليا .
-2- ان يكون الطالب قد زاول مهنة التمريض لمده لا تقل عن سنتين بعد السنه التدريبيه (الامتياز) فى مستشفى جامعى او تعليمى ,او يكون قد عين معيد بالجامعه لمدة عام على الاقل بعد السنه التدريبيه.

This course aims to equip master students with solid base of knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to practice activities related to medical surgical nursing professional roles to be able to function as an expert, manager, educator within their work place. The course reflects innovative and flexible teaching and learning strategies focusing on clinical roles advancement that enhances the quality of patient care, develop research expertise by utilizing the nursing process in formulating and evaluating adult individualized plans of care for patients experiencing the functional health different body systems alteration.

This course provides master students with knowledge, skills, and attitude required to list and outline the causes and basic mechanisms of disease, identify and explain organ based alterations in structure and function associated with disease , develop skills of observation, interpretation and integration needed to analyze human disease and point out the most likely diagnosis and differential diagnosis when provided with the anatomical lesions and the laboratory data of a patient.

Course content: according to postgraduate (doctorate) by law
 
Program admission requirements:
1.     The student should hold master degree in specialty course or related specialties from a university in the Arab Republic of Egypt at least a good grade or an equivalent degree from a college or a scientific institute last recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities.
2.     Registration begins from first Jun to 1st august.
3.     Pass an English language (TOEFL) with minim score of 500.
4.     Full time students are allowed to be enrolled at least for one year after they had master degree.
