2- هدف المقرر:
 
 
To equip postgraduate students with essential knowledge  and skills needed to apply managerial  skills. and develop a research project for a problem statement focused on coaching or mentoring.
3- المستهدف من تدريس المقرر :
At the end of this course the student will be able to

A1.Define the terms of empowerment, budget, power, politics, delegation, and evaluation.
A2-Identify who & whom can empower
A3-State the benefits of staff empowerment
A4-Identify barriers to creating an environment for empowerment
In an organization
A5-Describe the strategies of empowerment
A6-Recognizes factors leading to job empowerment
A7-Identify the benefits of time management
A8- Identify prerequisites for budgeting
A9-List the steps in the risk management program.
A10-Identify sources for identifying potential risks
A11-Discuss the importance of customers satisfaction in relation to risk management.
A12-Identify the role of nurse manager and nurse in risk management.
A13-Describe coaching intervention with staff nurses.
A14-Discuss kraner reality shock theory& it is relationship to coaching and mentoring
A15-List sources and types of power
A16-Describe strategies for building a personal power base.
A17-Discuss political strategies that help the novice manager to negate the negative effects of organizational politics.
A18-State mistakes made by manager in delegating
A19-Discuss strategies implement to ensure effective delegation.
A20-Identify the roles of leader and manager in delegation
A21-Describe the relationship of controlling to other major functions of management: planning, organizing and directing
A22-Describe the use of controls as management tools
A23-Describe the use of standards for controlling or evaluating
A24-Describe evidence based management and it is relevance to evaluation and control.

B5- Differentiate between authority, power and accountability.

B7-Use a set of standards to evaluate the controlling function of nursing agency or unit.

C5-Calculate full time equivalents needed to staff a typical   inpatient nursing unit.
C6-Applies an understanding of power to help nurses improve   their effectiveness.
