2- هدف المقرر:
 
 
At the end of the course the post graduate pediatric student will be able to utilize the dynamic relationship of physical, psychological responses to patho-physiological problems occurring for children in different pediatric settings, with emphasis on content related to assessment strategies, diagnostic testing, dietary requirements, treatment modalities, as well as therapeutic nursing intervention in relation to particular medical and surgical cases. Develop research aspect by applying research finding specific to each seminar item.
3- المستهدف من تدريس المقرر :
At the end of this course the post graduate student will be able to:
أ- المعلومات والمفاهيم:
 
A.1 Identify types of cancer common in infants, children, and adolescents.
A.2 List types of child abuse.
A.3. Discuss nursing interventions commonly used for neurologic illness.
A.4 List common laboratory and other diagnostic tests useful in the diagnosis of various medical conditions
A.5 Discuss common medications and other treatments used for treatment of various medical conditions.
A.6. Identify appropriate nursing assessments and interventions related to medications and treatment for pediatric cancer and cardiovascular disorders.
A.7. Explain component of objective Structured Clinical Exam.

B.1 Compare between childhood and adulthood cancer.
B.2.Distinguish cardiovascular disorders common in infants, children, and adolescents.
B.3 Appreciate the common signs and symptom in abused children
B.4 Differentiate immune and autoimmune disorders common in infants, children, and adolescents.
 B.5 Compare how the anatomy and physiology of the neurologic, Cardiovascular, and Immunologic systems in children differ from adult

C.1 Monitor child's' circulatory status post operative 
C.2.Develop an individualized nursing care plan for the child with immune or autoimmune disorder.
C.3.Devise a nutrition plan for the child with cancer.
C.4. Conduct community facilities for abused child
C.5 Implement nursing care for child with heart transplantation.
C.6 Devise a nutrition plan for the child in various medical conditions.
