2- هدف المقرر:
 
 
At the end of the course the post graduate pediatric student will be able to recognize strategies for increasing the contribution of nursing into research, education and practice through the implementation of national and regional health plans
3- المستهدف من تدريس المقرر :
At the end of this course the post graduate student will be able to:
أ- المعلومات والمفاهيم:
 
-          A.1 Recognize recent trends in the major health professions and the   role of health team in meeting the needs of health for all.
-         A.2  Determine issues and trends that influence the nursing education
-         A.3 Identify issues and trends that influence the nursing research and practice.
-         A.4 Illustrate ethical issues relevant to the profession and practice of f nursing
-         A.5 Contrast the nature and implications of moral accountability and responsibility in nursing.
-         A.6 Define the concept of nursing informatics and the nurse as knowledge worker.
-         A.7 Identify appropriate research design, drawing on a deep understanding of methods from at least one research tradition
-         A.8 Utilize scientific and theoretical knowledge from nursing and other disciplines to develop new practice approaches reflective of the highest level of nursing practice.
-         A.9 define clinical pathway as a tool to evaluate outcomes, to evaluate new practice approaches, and to evaluate and improve healthcare delivery systems, practice guidelines and health policy.
-         A.10Define evidence-based practice (EBP).

B.1 Discuss differences among nursing theory and the modalities of nursing practice.
B.2 Compare different educational nursing programs
B.3 Discuss factors contributing in the change of nursing education.
B.4 Evaluate effective strategies for managing the ethical dilemmas inherent in advanced nursing practice at individual, family, community, and population levels, health care organizations and information systems, and research.
 
B.5 Discuss  ethical clinical judgment and inter-professional collaboration
 
B.6 Discuss the nature and scope of nursing profession with regard to overall health services and human resource development.
 
B.7 Describe how to use critical pathways and clinical practice guidelines to help guide therapeutic decision making.
B.8 Examine the use of e-health and telehealth to deliver health care at a distance.
B.9 Describe how healthcare information systems and electronic health records can be used to enhance client care.
B.10 differentiate between evidence-based practice, research, research utilization, and quality improvement
B.11 Describe the importance of EBP to nursing practice and high-quality patient care.
