This course of obstetrics and gynecological medicineaimed to equip the student with the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes related to high risk pregnancy, abnormal labor and abnormal peuriperium as well as some of common gynecological problems..

By the end of this course the student should be able to:

A1-Discuss medical disorders associated with pregnancy and their managements
A2-Be aware of diseases complicating with pregnancy and their managements
A3-Describe causes and managements of abnormal labor.
A4-summarize the magnitude of abnormal peuriperum and emphasize on prevention
A5- Recognize the causes , assessment and managements of common gynecological problems

B1- Indicate differential diagnosis concerning in common obstetrical problems
B2-Identify differential diagnosis pertaining to common gynecological problems
B3-Describe first aid managements used in some obstetrical and gynecological problems

Diseases complicating pregnancy(hypertensive state of pregnancy)
Medical disorders associated with pregnancy( anemia , hyper emesis, RH incompatibility and diabetes mellitus)
Unit2:Abnormal labor unit
Abnormal uterine action
Complication of third stage
Obstructed labor
Unit3:Abnormal peuriperum
Puerperal sepsis
Unit 4:Gynecology:
Infertility
Genital prolepse
Genital tract infection
Menstrual disorders
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding
