This course aims toproviding master student with scientific principles and concepts to upgrade the student with different physical and psychological aspects of woman, to provide care to woman as well as to plan and implant the nursing interventions of these women during abnormal obstetric conditions.

At the end of this course the student will be able to:

.1- A.1 Explain the different psychological aspects of woman during adolescence, pregnancy, labor, peuriperium and menopause .
A.2 Examine psychological changing associated with obstet. and gyn. problems e.g abortion, infertility, female genital mutilation and illegal marriage.
A.3 Explain the assessment needs of woman during abnormal obstetric conditions.
A.4 Discuss the learning needs of woman during abnormal obstetric conditions.
A.5 Recognize nursing problems associated with abnormal obstetric conditions.
A.6 Discuss nursing intervention used in the above mentioned cased using the ethical perspectives and evidence based practices.

Marriage).

B.4 Predict learning needs of patient with abnormal obstetric conditions.
B.5 Summarize pharmacological and non- pharmacological methods used in abnormal obstetric conditions.
B.6 Analyze the nursing process used for the intervention of abnormal obstetric conditions.

C.4 Perform model for satisfying learning needs of the patient.
C.5 Administer different types of pharmacological and non- pharmacological methods that could be used for patients with common obstetric conditions.
C.6 Design a nursing care plan and intervene effectively for solving patient's problem.

Unit 1. Psychological needs of woman during health and disease
- Psychologicalchanges during maternity cycle
- Psychological needs of woman during crisis: female genital mutilation, illegal abortion, illegal marriage, violence and depression.
Unit 2. Assessment needs of patients with:
· Pre-conception, conception, labor, peuriperium and menopausal problems
Unit 3. Learning needs of patient
· Withpre-conception, conception, labor, peuriperium and menopausal problems.
· Nutritional needs, rest, sleep, elimination, exercise and hygiene…..etc
Unit 4.Nursing problems and their intervention of patients with abnormal:
· Pre-conception, conception, labor, peuriperium and menopausal problems
· pharmacological and non- pharmacological methods usedin abnormal obstetrical conditions
